Dear Lydia,
So i wanted to take some professional christmas pictures of you but i thought... you didn't do very much but lay there. so i just took them myself. I went for a vintage glamor thing. Here is a couple, hope you like them. :)

Teach them to Pray.

My sweet, sweet girl. You were doing this all by yourself and i had to run and grab my cell to capture it.

Splish Splash.

Dear Lydia,
This was your first bath. Daddy did it.
I took a still too. just to make sure to capture it.
You really didn't like nakedness there for a while. even when we were just changing your diaper.
tough love.

Jaundice.

I didn't know what that was. they had to prick your heal so many times. (it didn't hurt you because you didn't have nerves yet) but you cried because you liked to have control of your feet. can't blame you. I cried too. but only when you cried. We had to go to the doctor like 5 times for them to do it.
Annoying.
Just in case you are wondering, I will tell you what it is. I had never heard of it before and apparently its a Lofgreen thing. Everyone gets it. So here goes.
When a baby is in the womb they need a special type of blood cell that can take the oxygen from the mothers blood cells and transfer it. When a baby is born and can breath these cells are useless and need to be disposed. There can be too many for the liver to handle so as a plan b some of the cells are transferred to the surface of the skin so the sun can eliminate them. This is why a Jaundice baby can appear yellow. There is a point system that doctors use to measure the number of cells it goes to about a 25, thats where it gets dangerous. You never get that far but you capped at about 17. It does not hurt at all.
You got a little tanning bed you were supposed to be in all the time. You didn't let that happen.
We got some pictures though.

Hospital Party

Sorry you had to wear hospital clothes. :) You rocked it.

Then Dad took some on his Iphone.

Until we went home, then you wore a vintage (mommies) crochet dress.

Everyone came to see us, sadly we didn't get every picture. But i'll make you a list.
 Creepy Uncle Kevin was there.
And he brought your favorite Aunt Kaley.

(he was there a lot, creepy) ;)
Aunt Ali came. and took the pics. love her.
Grandma West was one of the first to hold you.

Of course Grandma and Grandpa Novak were there. Grandma watched you being born, as you can tell from her voice in the video. (there was an awkward moment where Grandpa John and Uncle Austin tried to come in my labor room, that was the only time i yelled.)

Grandpa Dave and Uncle Derek were there too. Everyone was so excited to meet you we just had everyone, for sure the biggest party in the hospital at 5:30 in the morning. and i am sure they waited a few hours.
You are a big deal to your family, my love.
Over the days we had Great Grandma Shirley, Uncle Dustin and Aunt Juls, Uncle Josh and your Great Aunt Vickie. Aunt Candis brought you (us) Flowers and a beautiful little poem (should be in your book). My besties Jessica, Whitnee, and Lacey came. and everyone else we know came to visit you in the weeks that followed.

Can you see Uncle Danny and Aunt Brooke with T and Z on the ipad?

It was such a happy time.
