The First Fever

Dear Lydi,
You never got sick. I hate to say that when you finally did, it was really cute. See what I mean.

It's from your first time going to nursery. We waited a bit to take Gray and because I was so preggo when you were 18 months and then 20 when he was born it took a while for your first time. Then it made you sick. Boo. And then I got it the next day. Hate. I hated it.

Lovin' You

Dear Lydia,
You are a doll, baby. Your almost 2. We -me and you- get frustrated but terrible is not the word for it. You are a great child. You strive to be helpful and obedient with only one year under your belt. Yes there are tantrums but they are out of not being able to understand. You don't like the word "wait" but who does. ;) I get mad/annoyed sometimes. Only when you make a huge mess with something that is "not a toy" or when you think I'm a jungle gym. We play. But you always have to be near me. You call it "lap". Most of the time I love that you love to touch, cuddle and play all over me but sometimes I need a break. :) Thats where "show" comes in and I send you to watch the Disney channel. :)
The other day you got into the greeting cards from our wedding that I still have yet to do something with and you had them all over the front room. I was bugged, I pointed to the ground and said, "No!" and you looked at me, considered that and took your little hand pointed to the ground and said, "No!" I just cracked up. You say funny things all the time, mostly because you mock me.
Daddy says your minnie me, that we are the same person. I always wanted a girl first, so she could be my best friend. I hope that works out well for us. I hope we always understand each other. Right now we are best friends. We are both super sensitive daddy says, but he would say that because he is not very sensitive.
You have nightmares but one hug form me makes it all better. I hope it stays that way. You play with books ALL day long. You hand them to me and say, "Thank You", over and over again. You love to read just like me. We even watch princess movies together, i can only watch them once.
I don't know whats with you and barbies. You like undress them and then contort their bodies and leave them in the middle of the floor. Your going to have to help your brother out and stop that. Lets keep them modest. ;) Poor Barbie.
Oh my do you love your brother.  I have to strap him into everything so you don't try to pick him up when I look away. You giggle like nothing else when you hold him and touch his head and give him "softies".
Oh how I love you.

New Brother

Dear Lydia,
I can't believe I have two babies. I know: thats what I get. I did it on purpose. I really hope there is a strong bond between you two. I hope that you help make him a gentleman and that he protects you. I hope you hang out with the same group of friends and tell each other your secrets. He will keep your drama in check. You'll keep his in check. It will be great. You will both know the blessing of having a family member that is a best friend.

Our first night home from the hospital. The first time we were a family of 4.

The first time you took a bath together.

The first time you kind of held him.

You thought he was hilarious.

Meeting Your little Brother

Dear Lydia,
Your little brother was born. You got to hang out with aunt Kaley all day but she brought you to the hospital so you could meet him. We video'd it. There was some crying. Here it is.

But you weren't crying for long. You kiss him now and give him loves. You also poke and pinch him but that could be affection since you do it to me and daddy too. :)

19 Months: Daddy's Girl

Dear Lydia,
Those pretty pictures we took were also this month but besides this nothing much happened.
It was Fathers Day and I publicly thanked Daddy by posting this on Facebook.
Then Daddy got kidney stones.
And you and I waited for hours with him.

Literally hours. And you sat like an amazing little toddler does in your chair while I fed you the gram crackers the nurse kept bringing you.

And you really like to pick up and carry around your Great Grandpa Lofgreen's scriptures all day.

Mommy and Me and the baby to be.

 Dear Lydia,
Mommy won a giveaway for some pictures of our pretty faces because Daddy didn't want to play. Graycen was there but he was hiding in my big belly. This was about a month before he came out. We played with the tea set aunt Kaley gave you and red our big Jane Austen book. Your favorite part was the river you almost got washed away in. ;) I love them.
Love you,
Mommy
