1st Black Eye

Dear Lydia,
Yes, it happened, and while you were still an infant. I was laying on the floor and you were crawling on me and then all of a sudden you head-butted me. Your lower eye went right into my tooth. I cried harder than you and I held you for so long. Obviously, it wasn't my fault but I still could not bear being the thing that hurt you. I cried for hours. and then I cried the next day. and then I cried at the thought of telling anyone what happened, that I couldn't protect my baby from my own body. Man was I sad. and man did Daddy make fun of me. and yes he took some pictures.
Eternally sorry,
Mommy

and you might have noticed this picture in entry two below.

Month 9: Beauty

Dear Lydia,
Your mom sure does dress you cute. At least i have almost perfected your wardrobe. It is better then mine any way. You are freaking cute.

Even if your grandparents did call these your "Austin Powers" leggings. They only think that because they were actually alive back then. ;) they are adorable.

Month 8: Sleeping Beauty

Dear Lydia,
Now that you can stand and move and such, you do it in the middle of the night. So you don't usually fall asleep unless we use the binkie and blankie process. But when you do fall asleep in the middle of something i just love it so much i have to take a picture. :)
and when you make out with your crib buddies.

These are a few of your favorite things...

Dear Lydia,
You are a funny girl, just like mommy. ;) here are some weirdo things you do that i documented for you.

You flap your wings. all. the. time. It means your happy. :)
Spitting food is fun until it's in your eyes.
The clicking language, apparently easier to learn then English, is how we have mommy-daughter time.
My laptop,

Standing.

And now that you have teeth - biting my toes. sick right? stop it.
Hahahaha
