Valentines

Dear Lydia,
Your my little Rapunzel, why is your hair growing so fast? I guess that's my genes fault. It's totally cute I just wish you would let me do it. Stop pulling out those tiny rubber bands - that has to hurt. And it makes it seem like your getting bigger faster. Which isn't really true - your tiny. Your a West and can't gain any weight. Goodness. You have always been about 3 months behind in the baby clothes size and now that you are walking  - at 15 months your 12M clothes are huge. and your little flat bum has yet to fill a pair of jeans other then jeggings. Oh and dresses - you still wear 6-12M but I have to put pants on you because your so tall. Look at that. You just got the best of us didn't you. You don't seem to have any of mommies problem areas even though daddy insists you have mommy legs (which look just like baby legs ;) . Your so pretty. Sometimes I just sit and stare at you because I just think your beautiful. Although an out side perspective is rather hard for me, I really don't think it's just because I am your Mommy. Just a toddler and you are already my favorite person ever. While we are still having somewhat of a communication issue (because you cant talk) I can tell you are a really good little person. Your funny and so loving.
Well it was my birthday and i got spoiled. Daddy bought me a sewing machine so I can potentially be an even better mommy. and he bought me thread and fabric to make pillows. and of course Nana helped us get a new washer and dryer and G-West gave me a shopping trip to Home depot. What? yeah I bought tools. A sander and paint - to turn some antique doors into a fancy bed for us.
I felt loved. And you got a cute stuffed puppy, and a little candy.
Celebrate Love. (oh and your mommy)

Daddy hates this headband. Silly daddy.

So your having a brother.

Dear Lydia,
It's a boy. We talk about your brother all the time, especially when you saddle me when i'm laying down and try to ride my belly like a horse. We make jokes when you hit my belly and we remind you not to hit your brother. Everyone asks you if you are excited to have a baby brother and of course you have answers to tell them. Your answers though are just baby words. I love how much you babble and i always pretend to be listening and understanding. I can't wait until i really can communicate well with you, i hope we are really good at it. and I really hope your excited to have a brother. I hope your close. As sweet as you are i hope that you will always be able to be sweet to him. Boys take patience. In this last year and 3 months of your life you have shown great patience, i look up to you. What a great characteristic to have, especially as a baby. Daddy and i know how blessed we are, we talk about it at least once a day. I was really lucky growing up too, with my little brother. He is a great person and i feel like for as far apart in age that we are, we are pretty close. I hope that for you. I hope that he can help you understand how boys think and that you will be better for it as a teenager, as a wife, and as a mommy to little boys. They are different then us but sometimes it is for the best. :)

So when we were at the ultra sound you were running around the office, until you plopped down in the middle of the floor. As i finished the paper work i walked across the room to join your daddy and Kaley and right when i passed you, you ripped a big fart... your daddy said, "Was that you?" (implying me) No. No it was not. Thank you for embarrassing Mommy.

Love Mommy.

Month 14: Snow and Football

Dear Lydia,
Here is you and daddy the first time we went to see our new house.
So the best party about the Superbowl for you was this rice crispy treat.
And for me it was watching you eat it.
This one is blurry but we are having a moment.
Here is one of our last nights in our old place.

Love Mom
